QE Engineer

Drive best practices in the software development lifecycle (SDLC), focusing on exploratory testing and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) enabled automated testing to deliver high-quality applications and solutions that meet stakeholder needs, including consumers, merchants, issuers, and governments. 

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement Mastercard's standards, processes, and best practices in quality engineering. 

Write high-quality, secure code that is modular, functional, and testable. 

Demonstrate a broad understanding of software engineering concepts and methodologies, ensuring alignment with project goals. 

Possess knowledge of SQL and relational database management system (RDBMS) concepts. 

Be self-motivated and able to accomplish tasks with guidance as needed. 

Exhibit a willingness to learn, take on challenging opportunities, and contribute as a member of a diverse, geographically distributed project team. 

Bachelor’s degree in a related field, certifications, or comparable work experience. 

Experience with at least one modern programming language such as Java, Angular, or NodeJS. 

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. 

Excellent problem-solving abilities. 

Experience testing across multiple platforms, including web and mobile user interfaces, APIs (REST and SOAP), and data warehouse reports. 

Familiarity with unit testing, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) within software development processes. 

Experience in software development to build and utilize automation frameworks using tools such as JUnit, Selenium, JBehave, Eclipse IDE, Maven, Git, and Jenkins. 

Good understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
