Job Description Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Active Directory Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing Active Directory environments in large, complex organizations. As a Senior Active Directory Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our information systems that support core organizational functions. This position will play a critical role in the planning and execution of Active Directory strategies, security measures, and integration of new technologies.


Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage the Active Directory infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

  • Lead Active Directory projects, including upgrades, migrations, and the integration of new business acquisitions.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive Active Directory documentation, including architecture designs, configuration standards, and operational procedures.

  • Implement and manage Active Directory security measures, including group policies, access controls, and auditing to protect against unauthorized access and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

  • Collaborate with other IT teams to support the integration of Active Directory with other systems, such as email, collaboration tools, and identity management solutions.

  • Provide expert-level support for Active Directory-related issues, including troubleshooting complex problems and advising on best practices.

  • Stay abreast of new technologies and industry trends related to Active Directory and identity management, and recommend improvements to our environment.

  • Mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and expertise to support their professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., MCSE: Core Infrastructure) are a plus.

  • At least 10 years of hands-on experience with Active Directory design, implementation, and management in a large, complex environment.

  • Expertise in Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), Azure Active Directory, and Office 365 integration.

  • Strong understanding of DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.

  • Proven experience with Active Directory migrations and upgrades.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead projects and work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
