An experienced SAP Fiori/OData Consultant to take on a technical lead role in designing, developing, and maintaining Fiori applications and OData services as part of our SAP S/4HANA implementation on RISE. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in SAP Fiori and OData, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions in complex environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Design and Architecture: Lead the technical design and architecture of SAP Fiori applications and OData services.Ensure that design and architecture are robust, scalable, and aligned with best practices and business requirements.Collaborate with other technical leads and architects to ensure seamless integration and data flow.
Development and Customization:Develop custom SAP Fiori applications using SAPUI5, HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS.Create and maintain OData services using SAP Gateway, ensuring efficient and secure data exchange between Fiori applications and SAP S/4HANA.Implement complex customizations to meet specific business requirements.
Integration and Data Management: Design and implement integration solutions to connect Fiori applications with other SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, FICO, PS) and third-party systems.Ensure data consistency and integrity across integrated systems.Manage data mappings, transformations, and error-handling mechanisms.
Performance Optimization:Monitor and optimize the performance of Fiori applications and OData services.Implement best practices for performance tuning and optimization.Conduct regular performance assessments and make necessary adjustments.
Testing and Quality Assurance:Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Identify and resolve technical defects and issues, ensuring high-quality deliverables.Use automated testing tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
Documentation and Standards:Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, coding standards, and testing procedures.
Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines.Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Support and Troubleshooting:Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Fiori applications and OData services.Identify and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.Provide guidance and support to junior developers and other team members.
Training and Knowledge Transfer:Develop and deliver technical training programs for internal IT staff.Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to ensure team members are well-versed in Fiori and OData development.Stay current with the latest SAP technologies and share knowledge with the team.
Project Management and Collaboration:Work closely with project managers to ensure timely and successful delivery of technical solutions.
Collaborate with business analysts, functional consultants, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.Participate in project planning, estimation, and status reporting.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. SAP certification in Fiori and OData is highly desirable.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in SAP Fiori and OData development.Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA and RISE with SAP implementations.Strong technical background and expertise in SAPUI5, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, and OData services.
Skills:Expertise in SAP Fiori application development and OData service creation.Proficiency in developing custom SAPUI5 applications and extending standard Fiori applications.Strong understanding of SAP Gateway and OData protocols.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in a related field.Experience with SAP Activate methodology.Familiarity with other SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, FICO, PS) and their integration requirements.Knowledge of best practices for security, performance optimization, and user experience design.
Work Environment:The role may involve working outside of standard business hours to meet project deadlines.
