We are offering a permanent role for a driven and highly focused Senior Maximo Technical Lead with previous experience working in a similar role in a senior capacity.
As a Senior Maximo Developer, you will be hands-on maintaining Maximo and WebSphere Application Server environments, contributing to technical discussions, mentoring junior members of the team, working with clients to resolve issues, developing and deploying changes, undertaking project work as required and managing competing priorities.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting Maximo, WebSphere Application Server, integrations and associated third-party applications.
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues or developing changes for clients.
- Maintaining the health and performance of the application.
- Planning and managing the environment patching cycle.
- Participating in regular audit activities.
- Providing high levels of customer service.
- Managing incidents within SLAs.
- Mentoring junior members of the team.
- Working within the Change Management process.
- On-call may be required.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 6+ years experience with Maximo, including installing, upgrading, patching, automation scripting, query development, performance tuning, customisation, building integrations, data loading and troubleshooting.
- 2+ years experience working in a senior capacity in various roles within IT.
- Strong Java and SQL development skills.
- Experience with BIRT development.
- Experience with Powershell, Python and JavaScript, with a willingness to learn other scripting languages as needed.
- Experience working within Change Management (e.g. ITIL) guidelines.
- Ability to multitask with competing priorities and work effectively with clients.
- Demonstratable ability to work in a cohesive team environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with IT security best practices and privacy of customer data.
Desirable:
- Experience in a software engineering (or similar) role.
- Certification in information technology disciplines.
- Experience with Microsoft BizTalk.
- Experience with SQL Server Integration Services.
- Experience with wsadmin scripting.
