Front End Developer

Job Description:

Senior Software Engineer will work closely with Architects/tech leads and define the software requirements, analyze, design and implement software solutions. In this role, you should be able to work independently with little supervision. You should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You have solid hands-on experience in software (preferable product) development and agile methodologies.  Your goal will be to develop high-quality software solutions aligned to business needs.  

Responsibilities 

• Collaborate with Product teams to implement robust, high performance, data-driven web applications.  

• Architect web applications from the ground up, with a focus on extensibility and scalability. 

• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize application for maximum speed and scalability. 

• Provide insight into modernizing legacy systems/process to the latest and greatest technologies.  

• Solve complex problems with innovative and elegant design and delivery.  

• Write clean, concise & modular code.  

• Enforce coding standards and set a high standard for code quality.  

• Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle.  

• Perform code review and code refactor.  

• Be very comfortable quickly developing prototype or throwaway code to prove out new functions and features.  

• Improve and maintain sanity in current codebase, architecture, and processes.  

• Perform validation and verification testing - Created automated tests .

• Document development phases and monitor systems.  

• Coach and build technical staff and provide technical leadership to small team of developers.  

Skills and Qualifications: 

• Proficient understanding of web mark-up, including HTML5, CSS3 

• Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS 

• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks 

• Strong knowledge of object oriented JavaScript, ES6 and Node JS 

• Proficient understanding of Angular 6+ or similar other frameworks is critical  

• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them 

• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.

• Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.

• Experience in security protocol like OAuth, SSO and also API encryption.

• Experience is UI code optimization like sprite images, JS compression, caching etc. 

• Passion for code quality. A strong understanding of the entire DevOps tool chain from a quality perspective 

• Good Exposure to Agile development practices 

Experience & Expertise: 

• 6+ years of total work experience as a front end developer. 

• BS/BE/BTech or MS/MTech in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technology. 

• Experience with software engineering best practices, design patterns and anti-patterns  

• Good knowledge, understanding & experience of working with multi-tier architectures.  

• Exposure to complete product development cycles  

• Must be comfortable working in fuzzy environments where boundaries aren’t clearly defined.
